Our streamlined one-week web design process is perfect for smaller websites that need a quick and efficient turnaround without sacrificing quality. All projects start on a Monday and end on the Friday when we launch of your website.
Web Design Process
Before We Start
I need all images and content provided to me before we start. You also need to be available during the project to take calls and answer emails on a timely basis so we can move quickly and get things done within the week. Not having everything available may mean we have to push your project back until these items are ready. It may also have financial implications.
Once we’re ready to go, here’s what you can expect:
One Week Design Process
Monday: Kick-Off Meeting
We begin the week with a one-hour kick-off meeting. Prior to this, you will have completed a detailed website questionnaire, which we will have reviewed together. Based on this, I will present an initial website map and color palette tailored to your needs. This meeting ensures we are aligned on the vision and goals for your website.
Tuesday: Home Page Design & Back Page Layouts
On Tuesday, I focus on crafting the design for your home page. Simultaneously, I will create a basic layout for your back pages, ensuring a cohesive and consistent user experience across your site. This day is all about setting the foundation for your website's design.
Wednesday: Home Page Review & Back Page Finalization
Wednesday is dedicated to refining the home page design. We'll have a review session where you can provide feedback and request changes. I will work throughout the day to implement any adjustments until you are fully satisfied. Once the home page is finalized, I will complete the design of the back pages.
Thursday: Client Updates & Technical Setup
On Thursday, I make any final client-requested updates to the entire site. I also take care of the technical aspects, including connecting your domain, performing webmaster updates, optimizing the site for SEO, and ensuring mobile responsiveness. By the end of the day, your website will be fully functional and polished.
Friday: Launch & Handover
Friday is launch day! We will have a 60-minute call where I will guide you through updating your Strikingly site and officially launch your website. During this call, I will also provide you with a comprehensive handover package that includes all the necessary information for ongoing support. The final payment (unless otherwise agreed) will be due at this time.
Get booked into my Design Diary
There is a €200 booking deposit to secure your place in my design diary which is deducted from your first invoice. When paid, I contact you to schedule a start date. I'll work with you to make sure we get things done in a time frame that meets your requirements. In the unlikely event that I cannot do your site in this time, I will discuss other options with you and/or refund your deposit.
Payments
Fifty percent of the project price is due three business days before your start date. Your booking deposit is applied towards this payment. The final payment for your website is when we launch your website.
